Extreme… ironing?

Extreme… ironing?
We’ve heard about extreme hiking, rafting, parkour and other risky sports. The question is, how far the need of adrenaline can go?

On the one hand, this type of sport is relatively new. But on the other hand, there were established many new types of extreme sports so far. The number of amateurs grows into thousands. This is something more that breaking the routine. It’s a lifestyle and new culture.

Current sports are not sufficient for people who are not amateurs anymore. They are inventing  new types of spending time.  Generally speaking, the more extreme and crazy idea, the more fun they have. Recently I’ve heard about “Extreme ironing”. People who practice that type of sport are looking (mostly) for places hard to reach to do the ironing. Useful and pleasure at the same time? It depends on the way we looking at it. Underwater ironing or ironing at the top of a high mountain is definitely not useful, but require skill and ability. This is not as easy as it would look like. But the question is what next? Extreme cooking or playing piano?

Do you know any other extreme sports?
