Brace Yourselves, Exams Are Coming

We all know that exams  and  june are the best time for us, students :) During this time, our timetable looks like: window cleaning, dusting, cooking complicated dinner or doing the laundy. Because it just can't wait. For every student that is so obvious... Or I think I am finally in mood to read the Trilogy of Henryk Sienkiewicz...
But if you want to relax just a little bit, I recommend a short series called "Vicious". It is a british sitcom stars by Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi,  gay couple who have been together for 48 years but endure a love/hate relationship. The sitcom has a very english sense of humor, and you should watch it with a pinch of salt ;)
Enjoy and  best of luck for your exam!

Japanese Chicken Wings

Well,
I want to share my recipe! When I have some free time, I like trying new recipes. Today, I want to show you the recipe of "Japanese chicken wings". It's very simple, but you need to buy some special products. But it's completely worth it :)

You will need:
1 kilo of chicken wings
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup of flour
1 cup of butter
SAUCE
5 tablespoon of honey or sugar
4 tablespoon of water
3 tablespoon of white vinegar
1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder
4 of soy sauce
pinch of salt

Firstly, preheat oven to 180*C. Cut wings in half, dip in egg and coat with flour. Heat butter and fry wings until brown, put them into shallow roasting pan. In a small bowl combine soy sauce, water, sugar, vinegar, garlic powder and salt. Pour over wings. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, basting wings with sauce often.

bon appétit!

The Worst Book I've Ever Read

It was just dreadful. „A Wicked Snow”, crime-murder novel written by Gregg Olsen is one of the worst books I’ve ever read. Despite the interesting idea of the story, the whole plot is poorly written, the descriptions are boring and wearying. The story is so cliché and predictable. The protagonists are exaggerates caricaturals and unbelievables.

The book is so bad that I don’t wanna talk about it :)

I just want to forget, that someone was able to write such a bad book.

Definitely, I don't recommend it! Don’t waste your time and money!

Oz: The Great and Powerful

This new Disney’s big-budget production is a new vision of well-known story, the timeless “The Wizard of Oz”. However, it is not an adaptation of the book, but the prequel of the story. The plot centres on one main character Oscar Diggs , known as Oz (played by James Franco) and his adventures in magical Land of Oz. The film has also a few number of other significant characters who have influence on plot, which are three magnificent witches: Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams). The protagonist is an egocentric, selfish, ambitious and greedy man. He is a carnival wizard and conjurer, who has landed accidentaly (or maybe not) in the fantastic world after twirling around through a tornado. In this world he has to face up the famous divanation and some malicious witch. How he will manage with the challenge, with magical world, witches and finally with himself?
In my opinion, this film is well-directed and well-played. James Franco is is supported by trio of excellent actresses: Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams.
If you have a lot of  free time, you can watch it. But don't expect memorable film.

Memories

Young me... cute :)

What I remember of my childhood is playing outside with my friends, children’s game like hide-and-seek or collecting and exchanging of colorful cards… Oh.. I wish If only I’d appreciated it when I was younger… But I’m glad that my childhood was so cool. Without computer, internet and all this innovation. We had a lot of fun in the summertime playing house or taking care of our neighbour’s pets. If only I’d had longer summer vacation during this time...  I think is sad that kids today, don’t play outside much anymore... They dont know how much fun I could be!

Extreme… ironing?

Extreme… ironing?
We’ve heard about extreme hiking, rafting, parkour and other risky sports. The question is, how far the need of adrenaline can go?

On the one hand, this type of sport is relatively new. But on the other hand, there were established many new types of extreme sports so far. The number of amateurs grows into thousands. This is something more that breaking the routine. It’s a lifestyle and new culture.

Current sports are not sufficient for people who are not amateurs anymore. They are inventing  new types of spending time.  Generally speaking, the more extreme and crazy idea, the more fun they have. Recently I’ve heard about “Extreme ironing”. People who practice that type of sport are looking (mostly) for places hard to reach to do the ironing. Useful and pleasure at the same time? It depends on the way we looking at it. Underwater ironing or ironing at the top of a high mountain is definitely not useful, but require skill and ability. This is not as easy as it would look like. But the question is what next? Extreme cooking or playing piano?

Do you know any other extreme sports?
